BLADE RUNNER 2 is still not done casting, apparently. Although this continued process makes me nervous about the overall progress of the project, I can't complain about their newest recruit. Fresh from the apocalyptic wasteland of The Walking Dead, Lennie James has stepped into this futuristic noir.

James plays the series stalwart Morgan Jones, but he has also had roles in SNATCH, COLOMBIANA, and LOCKOUT. Once again this movie has nabbed a star who is recognizable but deserves way more time in the spotlight.

BLADE RUNNER 2 also stars Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Dave Bautista, Barkhad Abdi, David Dastmalchian, Hiam Abbass, and Harrison Ford, returning in his original role as Rick Deckard. The screenplay was penned by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, from a story by Ridley Scott and Fancher. The film is produced by Alcon Entertainment.

The film will run into theaters on October 6, 2017.
