Brad Garrett Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows Krang

The upcoming TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS is so chock full of villains that you'd think this sequel is a threequel; Shredder, Bebop, Rocksteady, Dr. Baxter Stockman, and that little ball of pink tentacles known as Krang. Although it was previously reported that Fred Armisen (Portlandia) would be supplying the diminutive villains voice, the LA Times is now reporting that Krang will actually sound a lot more like Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond).

It seems that the reason for the casting switcheroo comes down to Fred Armisen's schedule coming into conflict with TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS' post-production plans. Although we've been aware of Krang's involvement in the sequel for some time, Paramount has mostly kept the little guy out of the marketing with a few small exceptions. How Krang's voice would turn out seemed a little more unknown when Armisen was slated to fill the role, but now that Brad Garrett will be lending his distinctive voice to Krang, it's not hard to imagine how the Dimension X villain will sound. Shredder! You bungling idiot!

A synopsis for TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS:

Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael return to theaters this summer to battle bigger, badder villains, alongside April O’Neil (Megan Fox), Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett), and a newcomer: the hockey-masked vigilante Casey Jones (Stephen Amell). After supervillain Shredder escapes custody, he joins forces with mad scientist Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry) and two dimwitted henchmen, Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (WWE Superstar Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly), to unleash a diabolical plan to take over the world. As the Turtles prepare to take on Shredder and his new crew, they find themselves facing an even greater evil with similar intentions: the notorious Krang.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS hits theaters on June 3, 2016.
