Bradley Cooper is a no-go for The Crow, who will take the remake?

JoBloJoBlo

Bradley Cooper has seen his popularity rocket to such heights that he can’t make room on his schedule for everything he’s been attached to in the past year or so.

Now because he’s stretched so thin, Cooper has flown the coop on Relativity’s remake of THE CROW, leaving the project in search of another leather-clad revenant.

Although we did previously evade Mark Wahlberg as the new Eric Draven, the threat apparently remains now that the role is available, according to Heat Vision. But perhaps even worse, the studio is also reportedly considering Channing Tatum, making Cooper a comparatively perfect choice.

THE CROW is officially described as “a reboot of the iconic cult character Eric Draven, who’s resurrected as The Crow to avenge his wife’s murder so he can reunite with her in the hereafter, as first envisioned by graphic novelist James O’Barr.”

The update (unrelated to Alex Proyas’ 1994 movie) comes from Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, who directed 28 WEEKS LATER and the under-appreciated INTACTO (and, almost, the adaptation of the videogame BIOSHOCK). Stephen Norrington (BLADE) was also once attached to direct.
