Captain Spaulding gets his 3 from Hell character poster

Writer/director Rob Zombie is using his social media accounts to gradually release a series of five character posters promoting his upcoming film 3 FROM HELL, a sequel to HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES and THE DEVIL'S REJECTS. The first of the posters showed Bill Moseley back in the role of Otis. The second was a surprise, featuring a character who isn't one of the titular three; Danny Trejo as his returning THE DEVIL'S REJECTS character Rondo. Now the third poster has been unveiled, and it's another member of the three.

Sid Haig is back as Captain Spaulding.

I'm guessing the fourth poster will be of another supporting character (perhaps 31's Richard Brake as new addition Winslow "Foxy" Foxworth Coltrane?), then the series will wrap up with the poster for Sheri Moon Zombie as Baby… but we'll see how it plays out.

Other options for character posters include the folks being played by David Ury, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Dee Wallace, Pancho Moler, Austin Stoker, Tom Papa, Dot-Marie Jones, Richard Edson, Richard Riehle, Kevin Jackson, Billy Blair, Steven Michael Quezada, Bill Oberst Jr., Sylvia Jefferies, Sean Whalen, Clint Howard, Emilio Rivera, and Daniel Roebuck (who is also reprising a role he played in THE DEVIL'S REJECTS).

Speaking of Rivera, Zombie recently reposted an image of himself and the actor on set, saying Rivera "plays a badass" in the film. Included among the hashtags in the caption was "#TheBlackSatans", stirring up speculation that there might be a biker gang called The Black Satans in the film. Interestingly, The Black Satans also happens to be the name of a parody black metal band out of Finland that have released songs like "The Satan of Hell", "The Satanic Darkness", and "The Mutilation of Christ".

About to embark on a concert tour with Marilyn Manson, Zombie won't get around to editing 3 FROM HELL until September. The film is then expected to receive a 2019 release.
