Catch a glimpse of Zac Efron as serial killer Ted Bundy in Extremely Wicked

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

How do you follow up starring in a rousing musical alongside Hugh Jackman? Well, by stepping into the shoes of one of the most notorious serial killers of all-time – Ted Bundy. Zac Efron (THE GREATEST SHOWMAN) is set to play Ted Bundy in EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE, which will be told through the perspective of Bundy's longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer. Production on the Joe Berlinger (PARADISE LOST) film will officially get underway tomorrow, but Zac Efron took to Twitter to post a behind-the-scenes photo of himself as Ted Bundy, where he looks…well…like Zac Efron.

Lily Collins (OJKA) will play Elizabeth Kloepfer, Bundy's girlfriend "who went years denying the accusations against Bundy but ultimately turned him in to the police. Only nearing his execution, when Bundy began talking about his extensive and heinous murders, did Kloepfer, and the rest of the world, learn the true scope of his numerous and grizzly crimes." Collins posted her own behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram.
