Celebrate Back to the Future’s 35th Anniversary with “Where it was Made”

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Here's a crazy fact. BACK TO THE FUTURE has Michael J. Fox's Marty McFly go back in time thirty years to 1955 Hill Valley to make his parents (Lea Thompson & Crispin Glover) fall in love, but if the movie were made now and he went back thirty years, he'd only go to 1990! That's because BACK TO THE FUTURE is, as of July 3rd, officially thirty-five years old!

As a child of the eighties, I can vividly remember when and where I was when I first saw what would quickly become one of my favorite films. It was on First Choice (the Canadian HBO) in my parents basement in the summer of 1986, and quite honestly I've probably seen the movie at least forty times or so in the years since. Maybe a lot more. I honestly don't know, but it was a touchstone film for me, and we've got a terrific tribute to the film from a couple of years ago, where host Ryan Cultera jumps into his DeLorean and revisits some of the most memorable locations from the film, including Hill Valley high, the clocktower, the Twin Pine Mall, and more! PLUS- screenwriter Bob Gale also joined us to talk about the film and it's enduring legacy because, you know what folks, it's always a good time to take a ride BACK TO THE FUTURE!
