It was just over a month ago that I was in this very sport telling you guys about a slasher heading our way with loads of potential. The flick I’m getting at was a little diddy called SMILEY and featured that handsome bastard above. Ringing any bells?
It should be because SMILEY was looking like it could definitely be packing a one-two punch. And now with the release of the flick’s trailer today I can 100% confirm that this flick looks awesome! After learning of an urban legend in which a demented serial killer named Smiley can be summoned through the Internet, mentally fragile Ashley must decide whether she is losing her mind or becoming Smiley’s next victim.
Coming from director Michael Gallagher, SMILEY sports a relatively unknown cast that includes Caitlin Gerard (below), Melanie Papalia, Shane Dawson, Andrew James Allen, Roger Bart, Liza Weil, Michael Traynor and the great Keith David.
SMILEY is set to be made available as premium content to the film’s online community as well as the general public through traditional distribution channels. As soon as we get word on any sort of release for this one you can bet we’ll be right here telling you about it.
