We’ve seen some of these images from Marvel’s THE AVENGERS already, which doesn’t lessen how cool they are, but the real sell is the sweet-as-hell 3D poster. I was on the fence over the trend of 3D/motion posters, but upon seeing them I couldn’t deny their appeal. Shit, The CONAN THE BARBARIAN one was the coolest thing going for the movie.
I’m really diggin’ this 3D Avengers poster. My wife is gonna love it when I buy this thing and hang it up in our living room. With tacks and/or duct tape. The door hanger “face” poster is pretty sweet as well and gives another look at “Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.”
I’m still a little peeved that they keep recycling images for much of the promo work so far, but at least it’s good work for the most part. These posters come courtesy of Trends International and should be available for you to purchase and display as you please very shortly.
Oh, and one last thing to note. Below is an image, courtesy of Comic Book Resources, of the official Avengers replicas from eFX, which will be on display at WonderCon in Anaheim, CA from March 16 – 18. Once released you will be able to wear your Thor helm, wield your Cap shield, and alternate drinking out of your Iron Man helmet and Cap mask while staring at your 3D Avengers poster. Livin’ the dream!
Also, let me take this time to remind you that THE AVENGERS will be in theaters on May 4th, 2012. You know this, I know this, we’re all excited, and that’s that.
