Chucky plays peekaboo with Andy in new clip from Child’s Play reboot

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

He'll be your friend till the end, but Chucky's friendship usually comes with a few strings such as stalking and murder. The upcoming reboot of the long-running CHILD'S PLAY will once again find Chucky up to his old tricks, but this time around his origins are a little more high-tech in nature. With the ability to control other smart-devices, Chucky is even more formidable this time around, and Orion Pictures have released a new clip which finds Chucky using this ability to play a sinister game of peekaboo with Andy (Gabriel Bateman).

The contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic follows Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Bateman) a Buddi doll, unaware of its more sinister nature. That doll is voiced by the legendary Mark Hamill this time around, and producer Seth Grahame-Smith says that he was their "first choice," adding, "The fact that we have an icon reimagining an iconic character is just an incredible gift for us."

CHILD'S PLAY will hit theaters on June 21st.
