Fans have been waiting to see Glen and Glenda, the offspring of killer dolls Chucky and Tiffany, show up on the Chucky television series. There has been speculation about which actor could be playing the character. When it was announced that Lara Jean Chorostecki was joining the cast a couple weeks ago, many immediately assumed she would be playing Glen/Glenda. Some theorized that we have already seen Glenda on the show, thinking Annie Briggs’ teacher character Miss Fairchild could be Glenda in disguise. Now we know for sure that Glen and Glenda will be in Chucky season 2 – and that non-binary actor Lachlan Watson will be playing both of them.

Watson, who is best known for playing the character Theo Putnam on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, announced the Glen/Glenda news with a video that was posted to social media, and co-star Jennifer Tilly then welcomed Watson to the cast on her own Twitter account.

A follow-up to all of the Child’s Play movies (remake excluded), Chucky picks up where Cult of Chucky left off. Mancini developed Chucky with producer David Kirschner. Mancini and Kirschner are executive producing Chucky with Harley Peyton, Alex Hedlund, and Nick Antosca. Mancini also directed the first episode. The show’s synopsis:

After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies and allies from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.

Chucky, which aired on the NBCUniveral cable networks Syfy and USA, reached 11.6 million viewers across all platforms during the first season. Season 2 is currently filming and is expected to start airing sometime this fall.

Watson joins a cast that includes Jennifer Tilly (as Tiffany Valentine), Fiona Dourif (as Nica Pierce), Zackary Arthur (as Jake Wheeler), Björgvin Arnarson (as Devon Evans), Alyvia Alyn Lind (as Lexy Cross), Alex Vincent (as Andy Barclay), Christine Elise (as Kyle), Barbara Alyn Woods (as Mayor Michelle Cross), and Brad Dourif (providing the voice of Chucky). Chucky season 2 also has Devon Sawa in its cast, despite the fact that the twin brothers he played in season 1 were both killed. Sawa has said that it feels like Mancini is going “even f*cking wilder” with season 2. Lara Jean Chorostecki, Tony Nappo, Tilly’s sister Meg Tilly, her Bound co-stars Gina Gershon and Joe Pantoliano, and her best friend Sutton Stracke (known for being one of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) are in there as well, playing unspecified roles.
