Concept art for Star Wars: Duel of the Fates has leaked online

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

With STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER already the worst reviewed STAR WARS film ever, new leaks purportedly show concept art from Colin Trevorrow's aborted Episode IX, subtitled DUEL OF THE FATES. Fleshing out story elements that have been making their way onto the interwebs over the last couple of weeks, these are high quality concepts that give us looks at Mark Hamill, C3PO and what could have been if Trevorrow's take on the final chapter had come to fruition.

I personally enjoyed The Rise of Skywalker (despite its glaring continuity errors and ludicrous final act) and it is always intriguing to see what could have been, but with J.J. Abrams' conclusion to George Lucas' iconic saga dividing audiences and critics, these new tidbits don't do much but fan the flames. Like Zack Snyder's mythic cut of JUSTICE LEAGUE, these reveals won't change the film we got, but who knows what the future could hold for a galaxy far, far away.

You can take a gander at the leaked concept art below:

What do you make of the concept art shown above? Do you think that Trevorrow's vision would have made for a better finale to the Skywalker Saga, or had you imagined something entirely different for the conclusion of Rey and company's story? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
