Lewis Jackson's crazy CHRISTMAS EVIL isn't your typical "killer Santa on the loose" fare. While it does feature an unhinged and deadly man in a Santa suit wandering about town dishing out bloody justice to naughty folks, it's much more of a psychological thriller than a slasher, owing a lot to TAXI DRIVER. (It predated SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT by four years, too.) It's one of the unheralded twisted Christmas movies, and you'll get a chance to see a brand new version very soon thanks to Vinegar Syndrome.
CHRISTMAS EVIL (aka You Better Watch Out and Terror in Toyland) is being released on Blu-ray for the first time with a brand new 4K restoration. The 2-disc set comes loaded with special features, which will help provide some insight into this very weird film.

When he was a boy, Harry idolized Santa Claus but one Christmas Eve, he witnessed something horrifying that forever shattered his innocent understanding of Santa. Now an adult, Harry wants to embody the pure Santa Claus that he grew up loving. He works at a toy factory and keeps records of who's been naughty and nice, but the spirit of Christmas isn't what it used to be and he can't take it.
