Cool Horror Gear: Death Waltz releases the Twin Peaks soundtrack on vinyl

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Twin Peaks' two season run on ABC came to an end in 1991, but fan appreciation for the David Lynch / Mark Frost-created series is still going strong. Not only are the viewers who watched the show at the time continuing to love it, but it's also being discovered by new fans all the time.

Death Waltz Recording Company is now offering up a treat to Twin Peaks fans new and old, giving the score composed by Angelo Badalamenti a new release on vinyl.

Brand new vinyl masters were cut by Tal Miller for The Twin Peaks Original Score LP, then Death Waltz teamed with Rainbo to have the record pressed on 180g vinyl (with a "Damn Fine Coffee" coloration) for the best sound quality possible. Records will come housed in a 425gsm gatefold sleeve that features lyrics, liner notes by Badalamenti, and a Lynch-approved cover image by Sam Smith. The gatefold sleeve itself is housed inside a bespoke die cut outer jacket, complete with obi strip, that was designed by Jay Shaw of Mondo.

The Twin Peaks Original Score LP will be available for purchase on Mondotees.com as of 1pm EST today and goes for $23. A worldwide record store release is set to follow on September 9, with participating stores holding a Coffee & Pie pre-release party on September 6.
