Cool Horror Video: All RoboCop cartoon intros

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Like most kids, I was a HUGE fan of ROBOCOP…which is strange, considering it was an extremely hard-R action film that had to fight not to get an NC-17 rating by the MPAA. However, there were also a slew of other Saturday morning cartoons based on R-Rated properties in the 80's-90's (including RAMBO, TOXIC AVENGER, and even a proposed COLONIAL MARINES cartoon based on the ALIEN franchise), which apparently made these hard-R properties palatable for children's insatiable consumption.

In the video embedded at the top of the article, we here at Arrow in the Head have compiled intros to all the cartoon adaptations of ROBOCOP, based on the 1987 Paul Verhoeven film, which was about

a violent, near-apocalyptic Detroit, evil corporation Omni Consumer Products wins a contract from the city government to privatize the police force. To test their crime-eradicating cyborgs, the company leads street cop Alex Murphy (Peter Weller) into an armed confrontation with crime lord Boddicker (Kurtwood Smith) so they can use his body to support their untested RoboCop prototype. But when RoboCop learns of the company's nefarious plans, he turns on his masters.

You can next see ROBOCOP in the upcoming MORTAL KOMBAT 11: AFTERMATH DLC coming to consoles and PC May 26th.

So what do you guys think? Anyone grow up with any of these cartoons? If so, do any of these hold up? Either way, sound off below!
