Cool Video: What if Casey Becker from Scream lived?

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

So this is fun! There was a sketch last week on THE DREW BARRYMORE SHOW that postulated what would've happened if Casey Becker – played by the aforementioned Barrymore – survived her encounter with Ghostface at the beginning of 1996's classic Wes Craven horror-satire SCREAM? If you were curious, you can check out the video at the top of the article!

And here is the official synopsis for the first SCREAM:

Wes Craven re-invented and revitalised the slasher-horror genre with this modern horror classic, which manages to be funny, clever and scary, as a fright-masked knife maniac stalks high-school students in middle-class suburbia. Craven is happy to provide both tension and self-parody as the body count mounts – but the victims aren't always the ones you'd expect.

Meanwhile, SCREAM 5 – directed by READY OR NOT's Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett and starring returning cast members Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, and David Arquette – is set to hit theaters January 14th, 2022!

So what do you guys think? And which slasher victim do you wish survived? Either way, sound off below!
