I never knew fan-fave Joseph Gordon-Levitt was a filmmaker!
Below is a short film Levitt directed starring pals Channing Tatum (G.I. JOE) and Lexy Hulme (500 DAYS OF SUMMER) called MORGAN AND DESTINY’S ELEVENTEENTH DATE: THE ZEPPELIN ZOO. And yes, the short is as charmingly odd and whimsical as the title suggests.
Here’s a note left by Levitt, a.k.a. “RegularJOE”, on the website hitRECord, an open collaborative production company that seems to really embrace and cater to the art and filmmaking community. Very cool stuff…

Our man Morgan and his lovebuddy Destiny, along with Mssr. Foodpenguin and that dastardly dip-stick Lionel premiered to two jam-packed houses in Austin. The screenings were met with the lovely love of excited SXSW humanians.
Thanks to everyone who collaborated on Morgan and all of our other REcords in Austin. Its a time I won’t soon forget! :o)
