I don’t know if you’ve noticed but there’s a couple of similarities between WALL-E and the upcoming science fiction movie OBLIVION staring Tom Cruise. Both films involve robotic drones, a destroyed planet Earth in the future, and the stars of both films are…eh…vertically challenged.
So it was only a matter of time before someone created a trailer combining the two films. This video from Giant Mimosas isn’t going to make you piss yourself laughing, but there are a couple of smirk worthy moments. The video itself is edited very well using footage from WALL-E and audio from OBLIVION. The shot selections from WALL-E are excellent and really fits well with the dialogue that they used from the OBLIVION trailer. When I hear Tom Cruise‘s voice as I look into Wall-E’s big adorable eyes I can’t help but smile. Especially when Wall-E is screaming to his superiors, “They’re firing on survivors! STAND DOWN!” Take a look and enjoy.
