So despite our idiot mayor shooting down the Robocop statue idea, enough funds have been raised to build the thing privately in Detroit, and the plan is going ahead as between this and a Super Bowl commercial from Eminem, things are looking up for our city. Yes, we have low standards.
Well one person we haven’t heard from about the whole statue issue is Robocop himself, Peter Weller. Funny or Die tracked him down, put him in front of a camera and wrote him some thoughts he has on the issue, and it’s nice to see he’s in full support.
Yes, Detroit is awful in almost every way, but we don’t have much to get excited about, and as retarded as a Robocop statue may seem, anything that gets our citizens the least bit pumped is worth at least looking into.
