Cool Videos: The 1995 trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron is radical, dude!

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON is at the cutting edge of Hollywood blockbusters. Joss Whedon's film features state of the art motion capture technology to make the Hulk and Ultron look as realistic as possible while also redefining what special effects can accomplish in a superhero movie. In short, it looks spectacular.

Twenty years ago, AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON would have looked very different, but even then we looked at films as spectacles never before seen. Each new movie that came out seemed to top what previous studio tentpoles brought to screens and challenged the next big epic Summer movie. Even the trailers have changed. With that in mind, the creative folks at Vulture have cut together what the trailer for AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON would have looked like if it had been released in 1995. The results are hilariously perfect.

I guarantee if you go back and revisit some VHS tapes from the mid-1990s, you would find almost every big movie trailer hit the same beats as this one. Ah, memories of my high school days.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON hits theaters on May 1st.
