Creators want Zombieland: The Broadway Musical

VENOM and GANGSTER SQUAD director Ruben Fleischer's ZOMBIELAND 2: DOUBLE TAP starring Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin (finally) hit theaters last year. And today we hear that DEADPOOL and original ZOMBIELAND scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese proposed ZOMBIELAND 3 and ZOMBIELAND: THE BROADWAY MUSICAL as a way to extend the series.

They say:

We'd love to see another Zombieland. We'd love to see Zombieland in another form too, like, why not Broadway musical? Wouldn't that be a great idea? 

Yes. Yes, it would.

The comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland. The zombie slayers must face off against the many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. Most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.

Director Ruben Fleischer returned to the helm and re-teamed with original writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese (DEADPOOL 2). Gavin Polone produced and Reese and Wernick also executive produced. Lauren Abrahams oversaw for the studio. Snag a copy of the sequel on Blu-ray HERE.
