Released through the Shudder streaming service back in April, the second season of the Creepshow television series will begin airing on AMC on September 6th – and just seventeen days later, Creepshow season 3 will premiere on Shudder on September 23rd. Season 3 consists of 6 episodes (each split into two story segments), so a weekly release schedule should see the season finale dropping on October 28th, just in time for Halloween.

The premiere date was announced during a Comic-Com@Home panel that featured "creative supervisor" Greg Nicotero, director Rusty Cundieff, writer Mattie Do, and cast members Michael Rooker and James Remar. The panel can be seen in the embed below, and even features two clips from the new season.

The clips offer a glimpse at the segement Do scripted, called Drug Traffic and starring Rooker as "a cop investigating a strange series of killings", and a segment called Queen Bee, about "a pop star who is possessed by aliens". The Drug Traffic clip can be seen at the 14 minute point, at the Queen Bee clip is 31 minutes in.

Other stories in the season include

– "Mums," directed by Cundieff and adapted by Nicotero from Joe Hill's short story

– "Meter Reader," which Nicotero said will reference The Exorcist

– "The Last Subaraya," about an art dealer who unleashes a demonic presence from a rare painting

I've really been enjoying watching the franchise George A. Romero and Stephen King started with the classic 1982 film Creepshow (you can watch that HERE) and kept going with 1987's Creepshow 2 (watch that one HERE) continue on Shudder, and I will be watching season 3 for sure.

In addition to Rooker and Remar, the cast of Creepshow season 3 will include Ethan Embry, Jonathan Schaech, Reid Scott, and Hannah Fierman. Fierman previously had a role in the season 2 finale, where she played actress Silvia Tortosa as she appeared in 1972's Horror Express.
