The drama CROSSING OVER seemed poised for an Oscar push. With a hot-button topic (immigration), winding multi-perspective narrative and high-profile cast (Harrison Ford, Ray Liotta), it was clearly aiming for the same hearts and minds at the Academy that deemed CRASH so worthy.
And then its release got bounced to early 2009. Sorry, Harrison!
The movie comes from Wayne Kramer (who I’d love to see tackle a comic book movie after his frenzied RUNNING SCARED), and I thought it also starred Sean Penn, but the trailer would have me believe otherwise. Plenty of Cliff Curtis, though! Check it out below or in HD at Yahoo.
