Now the second rumor I’m telling you all about today is one that is much more likely than Peter Jackson doing THE HOBBIT in 3-D. This other rumor is coming from Bloody-Disgusting and involves Tom Cruise and a vampire.
Yeah, it’s pretty obvious what I’m talking about. Might Tom Cruise be reprising his role as Lestat? Of course I’m referencing INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE. Personally, I really dug the flick. A great job by Cruise and an even better job by Brad Pitt. Hell even Christian Slater owned ass in it.
Well now BD are reporting that United Artists (Tom Cruise’s little project there) are in the process of picking up rights to THE TALE OF THE BODY THIEF, one of the sequels to the novel INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE. These are both parts of Anne Rice’s VAMPIRE CHRONICLES and they both star Lestat. Now seeing how United Artists are basically a giant robot being controlled by Tom Cruise, it’s not unfair to think he may be looking to this project to star.
I mean after that whole science thing, his reputation has really been hit. What better way to get in our good graces then to please the fanboys and bring back Lestat?
