Daenerys was born to rule in new Game of Thrones Comic-Con trailer

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The seventh season of HBO's Game of Thrones officially kicked off last Sunday and began putting the pieces in motion for what is already promising to be an epic season. Much of the Game of Thrones cast took part in a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, where Liam Cunningham joked that the Game of Thrones spinoff will be called Better Call Davos, and a brand-new trailer was released which gives us a look at the next few weeks of the series. Be warned, the trailer does spoil the return of a major character.

"If we don't band together, we will die."

After being banished by Jon Snow (Kit Harington) last season, it seems that the Red Woman has wormed her way back into the game. Melisandre (Carice van Houten) appears in the great hall of Dragonstone, where she tells Daenerys, "I believe you have a role to play… as does another." Game of Thrones will return this Sunday on HBO with "Stormborn," which will find Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) receiving an unexpected visitor, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) facing a revolt, and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) planning the conquest of Westeros. Make sure to check out our own Paul Shirey's review afterwards!
