Daniel Radcliffe brings out the worst in people in this first clip from Alexandre Aja’s Horns

HORNS (based on the book of the same name by author Joe Hill) will premiere at the TIFF and while there still isn't a trailer, Collider does have the first clip from the film. In it, Radcliffe sports a decent American accent and faces a shotgun wielding David Morse. Maybe I've been watching too much Breaking Bad, but does anyone else think Daniel Radcliffe sounds slightly like Jesse Pinkman in the clip?

Plot:

Merrin Williams is dead, slaughtered under inexplicable circumstances, leaving her beloved boyfriend Ignatius Perrish as the only suspect. On the first anniversary of Merrin's murder, Ig spends the night drunk and doing awful things. When he wakes the next morning he has a thunderous hangover . . . and horns growing from his temples. Ig possesses a terrible new power to go with his terrible new look—a macabre gift he intends to use to find the monster who killed his lover. Being good and praying for the best got him nowhere. Now it's time for revenge . . .It's time the devil had his due…

HORNS is a dark but incredibly funny (if you have a certain type of humor) novel and I really hope director Alexandre Aja has created a good balance for the film. It'll be a little tough considering some of the twisted events that occur in the book but if Aja and company do succeed, HORNS could turn out to be very special film.

HORNS doesn't have a release date, but should be in theaters sometime in 2014.
