Daredevil Season 3 sets its sights on a 2018 release on Netflix

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

It sounds as if Netflix is laser-focused on giving Marvel fans what they want in 2018, as it's been confirmed that yet another solo series featuring a member of Marvel's DEFENDERS will make its debut on the popular streaming service this year. Recently, toward the end of a Netflix Quarter 2 earnings video, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos announced a batch of new seasons coming to the platform before the end of the year, including the release of DAREDEVIL Season 3.

"In the short term, we've got new seasons coming up, in the second half of this year, of Orange is the New Black, Ozark, Iron Fist, Daredevil, Narcos, the finale of House of Cards, the follow-up series to Making a Murderer," Sarandos said.

While the above quote doesn't provide us with any clues as to when new episodes of DAREDEVIL will arrive exactly, it sure feels good to have a release window, doesn't it? People often say that good things come to those who wait, and if I'm being honest, Netflix has certainly been treating Marvel fans quite well this year. After all, we've already been treated to the sophomore seasons of both JESSICA JONES and LUKE CAGE, and now IRON FIST is just around the corner with a Netflix premiere scheduled for September 7th. Actually, in looking at date for IRON FIST, I would assume that we can expect DAREDEVIL to drop sometime closer to November or December of this year.

Are you excited for more episodes of DAREDEVIL? Will you be organizing a binge-watch of IRON FIST Season 2 when it's released? Or, are you simply waiting for another round of Marvel's THE PUNISHER, which is in-line to have a second season locked and loaded for 2019? Let us know what your favorite Marvel/Netflix programs are, and if you're pumped for Matt Murdock's return in the comments section below.
