Last month I told you all about DARK FLOORS. Well there’s been a whole mess of stills released today courtesy of Twitch Film, one of which can be found above. It looks like most of the stills are from one scene, but it looks like a pretty badass scene.
The premise for DARK FLOORS is Concerned for her autistic daughter’s health, the father sees a removal from the hospital by force as the only option. An elevator break-down prevents a smooth exit and renders them trapped with others. Yet the incident is only the beginning of a descent into nightmare. As the doors open the hospital appears mysteriously deserted. When mutilated bodies are found, creatures from a dark world start a frightening attack. It soon becomes clear that the survival of the group may rest solely on the little girl.
Pete Riski will be making his directorial debut with DARK FLOORS. It’s going to star Noah Huntley, Skye Bennett, Philip Bretherton, William Hope, Ronald Pickup, Leon Herbert, Ossi Mykkänen, and Dominique McElligott. It’s also starring the Finnish band Lordi The idea for the film actually came from the band, who will be playing the monsters in the movie. This all sounds pretty awesome, unfortunately there hasn’t been any US distribution news, but let’s hope for some soon! You can check out the rest of the stills over here. The film will be released in Finland on February 8, 2008.
