The Finnish horror movie DARK FLOORS has been in the works for a while. One of the more interesting facts about it is that it stars the rock band Lordi. They even came up with the idea for the movie.
In case you don’t know what it’s about, the synopsis for DARK FLOORS is: Concerned for her autistic daughter’s health, the father sees a removal from the hospital by force as the only option. An elevator break-down prevents a smooth exit and renders them trapped with others. Yet the incident is only the beginning of a descent into nightmare. As the doors open the hospital appears mysteriously deserted. When mutilated bodies are found, creatures from a dark world start a frightening attack. It soon becomes clear that the survival of the group may rest solely on the little girl.
It’s directed by Pete Riski and stars Noah Huntley, Skye Bennett, Philip Bretherton, William Hope, Ronald Pickup, Leon Herbert, Ossi Mykkänen, Dominique McElligott, and of course, Lordi. Twitch recenetly got ahold of the full trailer for the flick. You can check that out over here. This one looks like it’s going to be a vicious, badass monster flick. I know I’ll definately be keeping an eye on it.
DARK FLOORS is being released in Finland on February 8, 2008. No word yet on a US release.
