The last time we saw a film from Terry Gilliam was 2009s THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS. Gilliam usually makes his fans wait a little while before any new projects. Is the anticipation getting to you? Well, just relax. In August, the director let everyone know that he was going ahead with a film titled, THE ZERO THEOREM.

MOONRISE KINGDOM’s Lucas Hedges, Melanie Thierry and Christoph Waltz were all recently cast in the film. Now David Thewlis (REMUS LUPIN!) and Tilda Swinton have boarded the project.

The only bits we have about the plot revolve around Waltz’s character, “an eccentric computer genius plagued with existential angst who aims to discover the purpose of life.” The film will begin production on the 22nd in Romania.

The cast for this is an odd mix so far that I’m kind of loving. Tilda Swinton is always a great one to watch because she brings this interesting dimension to whatever she does. Can’t wait to hear more on this.
