It’s nice to see SAW guy James Wan get away from the exhausted torture-horror for a straight-up old-school revenge tale, even if it’s basically just Kevin Bacon impersonating Chuck Bronson’s famed role.
In DEATH SENTENCE, the former Footlooser and Hollow Man gives everyone involved a Bacon Number of 1 as he hammers out some personal justice on a cartoonishly vicious gang led by Garrett Hedlund (aka The One Who Wasn’t Famous from FOUR BROTHERS).
Fox has just unloaded this nice atmospheric poster for the flick, an exclusive one-sheet designed for Comic Con. I suppose a Comic Con presence makes sense in a way, since Bacon seems to be fighting the Mutant Gang from Frank Miller’s graphic novel THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS.
