There’s this flick/concept/comic I heard about a while ago, and it seems we have yet to cover it. The project is called DEATH WALKS THE STREETS and it involves vampires, werewolves, and gangsters… among other things.
I’m pretty sure that’s all we really need to know, right? I was sold at that alone… sold and left thriving for more. So your not sold on just that? Shame. Here’s the lengthly synopsis for you:
Immediately after being released from prison, Michael Labou is pulled back into service for his former employer – an international crime syndicate known simply as The Organization.
Under the guise of a Labor Union known as BVM, The Organization has it’s hands in multiple interests throughout the Globe, and a tight grasp on the City of New Marshall.
When Michael is presented with the ‘simple’ task of a basic ‘transport-and-deliver’ mission, he enlists the help of longtime friends Malcolm and Danielle to accompany him for the ride.
It soon becomes apparent that this task is anything but routine when the group finds their cargo to be a very unique and special item that everyone and everything is after – both human and supernatural.
A Corrupt Art Dealer – An Exiled Politician – A Man Obsessed – Hordes of Gangsters – And even the Son of Satan Himself – will stop at nothing to get their hands on Michael Labou and his friends and claim the precious cargo for their own… unleashing an ancient curse in the process when… DEATH WALKS THE STREETS.
You’ve got to be sold now. Unfortunately DEATH WALKS THE STREETS has been drug down a dark alley and beaten to a pulp when it comes to production, meaning they keep hitting snags and the film is pretty far from happening. The idea is actually for DEATH WALKS THE STREETS to become a trilogy.. hopefully it will happen soon. Meanwhile we’ve got a pretty badass comic to check out.
