Last month, we shared the news that several actors from the FRIDAY THE 13TH franchise are collaborating on a new slasher movie called 13 FANBOY. FRIDAY THE 13TH: A NEW BEGINNING's Deborah Voorhees will be directing the film, working from a screenplay she wrote with producer Joel Paul Reisig.

The story is about a FRIDAY THE 13TH fan who "takes his love for the series too far". The synopsis:

As a child, Kelsie witnesses the murder of her grandmother, a Friday the 13th actress, at the hands of a crazy fanboy. As an adult, she discovers her grandmother isn't the only victim and finds herself battling to save the life of her grandmother's best friend, also an actress from Friday the 13th, only to find she is now being targeted by the killer. But who is the killer? So many suspects, including the man lying beside her.

The previously announced cast consists of Voorhees, Kane Hodder, C.J. Graham, Thom Mathews, Judie Aronson, Tracie Savage, Jennifer Banko, Ron Sloan, Carol Locatell, Andrew Leighty, Vincente DiSanti, and newcomer Hayley Reece Greenbauer. Now a couple more familiar names have signed on to join the fun.

Corey Feldman, who originated the role of Jason Voorhees' popular adversary Tommy Jarvis in FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER (then made a cameo in the opening sequence of A NEW BEGINNING), will be appearing in 13 FANBOY. While many of the actors in the film are expected to play themselves, Feldman's role is a fictional character.

Taking on the lead role in the film is a genre icon who, surprisingly, was never in a FRIDAY THE 13TH movie. That is Dee Wallace, who will be playing a fictional version of herself.

Wallace has a long list of genre credits to her name, including Wes Craven's THE HILLS HAVE EYES, THE HOWLING, CUJO, CRITTERS, Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN, and RED CHRISTMAS (pictured above).

Those are two very cool additions to make to the cast. As a FRIDAY THE 13TH fanboy myself (but not one of the stalk and slash variety like the character in this), I'm very interested in seeing how 13 FANBOY is going to turn out.
