Desiree Akhavan joins Mark Duplass in Creep 2

Writer/director Patrick Brice and co-writer/star Mark Duplass are bringing the duplicitous weirdo they created in their 2014 collaboration CREEP back for more, and as production begins on CREEP 2 it appears that we now know who will be the subject of the creep's dangerous, stalkery affections in the sequel.

Desiree Akhavan has joined Duplass in the cast, but no details have been revealed about her character, the story, or whether there will be more characters in this film than there were in the first CREEP, which was basically a two-man show with just Brice and Duplass.

CREEP told the following story:

When a videographer answers a Craigslist ad for a one-day job in a remote mountain town, he finds his client is not at all what he initially seems.

Having made her feature writing/directing/acting debut with the 2014 film APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR, Akhavan has followed that up with a role on the HBO series Girls and is currently developing a comedy series for Channel 4 in the UK called The Bisexual. She had this to say about joining CREEP 2:

I love Creep and couldn’t be happier about crashing the sequel. Patrick and Mark are inspiring, generous & crazy smart collaborators."

Whoever Akhavan's character is, I fear it's only a matter of time before the creep introduces her to his wolf mask Peachfuzz.
