Now that filming is underway for A QUIET PLACE PART II, the sequel to director-writer John Krasinski's 2018 breakout thriller that grossed $340.9 million worldwide, fans of the walk softly horror pic have been keeping their ears open for updates. Such as this being the case, today we bring you the news that AQUAMAN and CAPTAIN MARVEL actor Djimon Hounsou has replaced Brian Tyree Henry (CHILD'S PLAY) as a member of the film's cast.

According to sources, Tyree has exited the Paramount and Platinum Dunes sequel after discovering a conflict in his schedule. With Tyree unable to rearrange his commitments, Hounsou has stepped up to play the part alongside previously confirmed cast members Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, and Cillian Murphy. John Krasinski is directing the sequel in addition to penning the script. Meanwhile, Platinum Dunes partners Andrew Form and Brad Fuller will produce with Michael Bay.

Up next for Hounsou is a role in director-writer Elizabeth Banks' CHARLIE'S ANGELS reboot, starring Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska as the superspy trifecta. Hounsou is reportedly playing Bosley in the film, a part also shared by Banks and Patrick Stewart in the film.

Another project of Hounsou's that's set for February 14, 2020 release is Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman prequel, THE KING'S MAN. Hounsou will star as Neil Kenlock in the prequel, which also features the likes of Gemma Arterton, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Matthew Goode, Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, Charles Dance, and Rhys Ifans. The third film in the Kingsman franchise will focus on a collection of history's worst tyrants and criminal masterminds who gather to plot a war to wipe out millions. As they prepare to unleash hell, one man must race against time to stop them.

A QUIET PLACE 2 is scheduled to creep into theaters on March 20, 2020.
