Last week Mike told you about the plan for an adaptation of the book THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY. Like Mike, I also dig the story/character of Dorian Gray. He was my favorite character in THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN and is just unique and twisted all around.
Well Mike told you how Ben Barnes would be starring as the titular Dorian Gray opposite Colin Firth. Variety have several other names joining the cast including Rebecca Hall (right) and Emilia Fox (below). The rest of the cast include: Ben Chaplin, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Fiona Shaw, Maryam D’Abo, Pip Torrens, Douglas Henshall, Caroline Goodall, Michael Culkin, Johnny Harris and Max Irons.
DORIAN GRAY is about a young man who becomes the subject of a painting. As the man descends into a hedonistic lifestyle, the portrait begins to age and morph, but he doesn’t. Oliver Parker is directing with a script from Toby Finlay based off Oscar Wilde’s novel.
DORIAN GRAY has the potential for some dark, twsited horror, so we’ll keep you updated.
