Douglas is Solitary

JoBloJoBlo

It’s been a while since I saw Michael Douglas in anything, although that’s not really any fault of his own — I don’t think anyone else really saw THE SENTINEL either. Besides, Zeta-Jones would probably keep me distracted from work too.

But now the jowled thesp is plenty busy, with his Liberace biopic and now a comedy called SOLITARY MAN (Neil Diamond track/cover all but guaranteed). Douglas will play a car dealership owner whose womanizing ways make a wreck of his marriage and business.

The flick is like a big reunion — Danny DeVito returns to hang with his ROMANCING THE STONE and WAR OF THE ROSES co-star, and the movie comes from writer-directors Brian Koppelman and David Levien, screenwriters of OCEAN’S 13 for Stephen Soderbergh, who is producing.

Susan Sarandon and Jenna Fischer will provide the female presence of varying desirability.
