Dracula’s Renfield getting his own solo movie from Universal for some reason

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

So this is…interesting…I guess is the word for it. Deadline reports that Universal might be developing a new film based on Dracula's famous henchman Renfield, with a story outline from Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead, Invincible) and to be directed by Chris McKay (Tomorrow War).

Here's what the article said about the story:

In the original Dracula novel, R.M. Renfield was an inmate at a lunatic asylum who was thought to be suffering from delusions but actually is a servant of Dracula. Plot details weren’t announced, but it’s believed to take place during the present day and is not a period piece.

Obviously no official release or start date as of yet, but we'll keep you posted!

So what do you guys think? And what other random side characters should get their own solo film? We already got one for Igor. Either way, sound off below!
