Now the last update for DYING BREED came months ago. We’ve finally we’ve got a new update in the form of a new poster, and a pretty disturbing poster at that. As soon as I glanced at it I looked at my hot pocket in disgust… Yes, this poster ruined my enjoyment of a hot pocket. That’s powerful.

But in all seriousness, the poster is a bit disturbing. Get the just of it above… see what I mean? Click through for a shot of the whole poster over at The Daily Telegraph. Obviously the poster displays a delicious looking meat pie… although the meat seems to be of the human variety. And get this… the poster was actually banned from going up in public in Australia. Like I said, powerful.

DYING BREED’s synopsis reads: A Zoology student, her partner, and her partner’s friend get lost in the vast forests of Tasmania and are subsequently hunted by a breed of mutants with a taste for human flesh who also are direct descendants of the murderous cannibal Alexander Pearce (aka “The Pieman”). First thing that comes to mind would be WRONG TURN.. and let’s face it, how many original ‘deformed-cannibals-in-the-woods’ movies can they make? I’ll keep an open mind until I see more from DYING BREED though.

It’s directed by Jody Dwyer, who also penned the script with Michael Boughen. It stars Nathan Phillips, Sally McDonald, and Leigh Whannell. As always, we’ll keep you updated once we hear more.
