Wow. Just… wow. Did you ever think you’d see it? A video game where you can choose your favorite horror movie slashers and pit them against each other in a brutal fight to the death! I’m talking MORTAL KOMBAT with horror icons! Excited yet? Hell yeah you are!
Now before I get into this I’ve got to tell you that I didn’t stumble upon this treasure myself. I was bouncing around on the Arrow in the Head Forums and stumbled upon this article from Brendan M. Brendan was kind enough to let us know about an amazing video game in development called TERRORDROME. Love it!
Alright the thing already has an awesome name, so let’s dive a little deeper. TERRORDROME: RISE OF THE BOOGEYMEN is currently in some early stages and comes from HUR4C4N PROJECT. Check out it’s official site right over HERE. TERRORDROME is a PC fangame with a professional quality level. It’s homebrew, free and totally fans oriented! Based on a one on one 2D fighting game, TERRORDROME features the most popular horror movie characters from the 80’s till now. An encounter between the most frightening and imposing killers for the biggest pleasure of fans from both horror movies and video games. You choose your favorite character and fight against the others from the roster.
The official website offers a list of frequently asked questions, a host of screenshots from the demos of the game and info on the guys behind it. It also offers a bunch of other things that are currently under construction so be on the lookout for those! But most importantly it offers a link to download the new TERRORDROME demo right to your PC! What are you waiting for? GO GET THAT SHITE!
One of my favorite things about this game are the settings: the Hewitt house, a quiet Haddonfield street, Freddy’s boiler room, Camp Crystal Lake, S-Mart etc. Brilliant! Below I’ve tossed up a number of screenshots along with a bunch of character art to give you an idea of how awesome this is. Unfortunately there’s no telling when or if TERRORDROME will be fully complete but we’ll be hoping this one makes it to the shelves! A little bit of warning… The demo can actually be pretty tough but with a little practice you should get it down. Below I’ve also tossed up a small trailer for the new TERRORDROME demo, which can also be found in our videos section. STREET FIGHTER eat your heart out. Enjoy!
