Evil Never Grows Old. The only thing scarier than an evil child is her evil grandma. Inspired by the scary-cute grandmother at the root of writer-director Ari Aster’s new fright flick HEREDITARY starring Toni Collette and Gabriel Byrne, A24 presents… a limited edition wall calendar? Don’t worry, it’s much more badass than it sounds.
The limited edition wall calendar is called EVIL GRANDMAS and depicts (as you probably could imagine) thirteen Satan-worshiping grandmas. The Evil Grandmas 2019 Calendar is available for pre-order in the A24 Shop.
The film is written and directed by Ari Aster and the terror begins:
When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away, her daughter’s family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited. Making his feature debut, writer-director Ari Aster unleashes a nightmare vision of a domestic breakdown that exhibits the craft and precision of a nascent auteur, transforming a familial tragedy into something ominous and deeply disquieting, and pushing the horror movie into chilling new terrain with its shattering portrait of heritage gone to hell.
