Thomas Jane’s directorial effort DARK COUNTRY is set to hit DVD everywhere on October 6th, and while it was made with the intention of being shown in theaters in glorious 3D, we’re told seeing it on DVD in 2D will still kick your ass and then some. If you didn’t find the original DVD art all that impressive, prepare to be impressed! We have an EXCLUSIVE look at some poster / concept art for the film that seems to have a better take on the look and feel of the flick itself.
What we have here is a close-up of a character called “Bloodyface” (played by Con Schell) that reeks of film noir darkness and overall badassness. While the first DVD art left me with ‘meh,’ this here poster has left me with ‘sweet!’. Throw in the cool “Missing” poster we showed you yesterday, and you have yourself one cool looking flick that we’ll hopefully get to see in 3D in theaters at some point.
Co-starring Lauren German (below), DARK COUNTRY is about two honeymooners who rescue a mysterious car crash survivor in the Las Vegas desert. But their decision to save the man becomes increasingly regrettable when he turns on them, forcing the newlyweds to do the unthinkable. In a blur of paranormal chaos, the couple must take drastic measures to cover up their actions from the local police, ultimately leading each character to an inescapable fate.
Hells yeah. Enjoy the EXCLUSIVE poster above (click on “Bloodyface” for a larger version, or right HERE), and be sure to check out DARK COUNTRY when it hits DVD stands everywhere October 6th.
