There can be endless debates about which films have had the best car chase sequences of all time. Last year, we even compiled such a list, but today we are bringing you a much different look at these scenes by narrowing the field to just the last three decades. You may think you can already predict which movies will make the cut, but you may need to think again.

With the special effects that movies can achieve these days, car chases are not quite the same as they were in the days of BULLIT or THE FRENCH CONNECTION. Today, cameras can be placed almost anywhere to capture angles and shots that were impossible in the sixties and seventies. But, this list isn’t all CGI and FAST AND FURIOUS movies.
