Exclusive: First look at Mondo’s Creature from the Black Lagoon poster!

This year's edition of the MondoCon, an annual celebration of everything Mondo loves – movies, art, music, games, toys, collectibles, food, and beer – will be held at the Palmer Event Center in downtown Austin, Texas on September 14th and 15th. One piece of art that will be making its debut at the convention is a CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON poster created by the legendary Drew Struzan, and today we are proud to share the EXCLUSIVE first look at Struzan's Creature.

MondoCon attendees will have the chance to purchase the poster for $50, but only 200 copies are being printed.

MondoCon 2019 will take place September 14th and 15th at the Palmer Events Center in downtown Austin, TX,

Now in its 5th year, MondoCon is a celebration of everything Mondo loves, including movies, art, music, games, toys, comics and food. It's a weekend curated with fans in mind, featuring incredible artists & creators from around the world, panels, screenings, interactive events, food trucks from local favorites including Southside Pizza, Peached Tortilla, and Lucky Lab Coffee, and of course Con Beer 2019, this year’s limited-edition collaboration with Austin Beerworks.
 
A stellar schedule of panels will include sneak peeks at what Mondo has up its sleeve for upcoming toys & collectibles, an in-depth discussion of soundtracks from Mondo Music Group and special guests, a design panel featuring artists Daniel Danger, Matt Taylor and Jock as they collaborate live with each other (and the audience) and take a poster from concept to completion and much more, plus an epic DIY Skateboard Workshop with MondoCon alum Sonny Day on both Saturday and Sunday.

MondoCon is excited to host the World Premiere screening of a brand new EVIL DEAD theatrical experience as Grindhouse Releasing brings Sam Raimi’s EVIL DEAD to theaters for the first time in 4K with a terrifying new soundtrack! This special edition of EVIL DEAD presents the horror classic for the first time with a reimagined score by original composer Joseph LoDuca and a thrilling new 5.1 surround mix created by Marti Humphrey and Jussi Tegelman, the award-winning sound crew behind DRAG ME TO HELL and ASH VS. EVIL DEAD. Mondo & Death Waltz Recording Company will also be re-releasing their EVIL DEAD album on vinyl with this brand new score. 

MondoCon attendees will also get the first shot at some amazing new Mondo offerings including Marvel Studios’ BLACK PANTHER Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 3XLP and posters for GHOSTBUSTERS, THE DARK CRYSTAL, THE LAST JEDI, and more!
