Interviews: Director Deon Taylor, Meagan Good & Michael Ealy on The Intruder

The Intruder Dennis Quaid Deon Taylor

Reaching theatres today, May 3rd, is director Deon Taylor's psychological thriller THE INTRUDER, which I am very interested in checking out because I want to watch star Dennis Quaid play a homicidal maniac.

Scripted by David Loughery, the film also stars Meagan Good, Michael Ealy, and Joseph Sikora. It tells the story of

a young married couple who buys a beautiful Napa Valley home only to find that the man they bought it from refuses to let go of the property, and he slowly terrorizes them.

Our own JimmyO recently got a chance to discuss the film with the director and with stars Meagan Good and Michael Ealy, and those EXCLUSIVE interviews can be seen below.

After watching the interviews, I'm looking forward to THE INTRUDER even more. There's some interesting information in there as JimmyO and Taylor talk about Quaid going "full crazy", a replica of the knife from PSYCHO that can be seen in the film, and a scene in which real blood starts running from the head of one of the actors.

Taylor mentions being a fan of PSYCHO, THE SHINING, and THE STRANGERS, and the fact that he sees working in the horror and thriller genres as a chance to "give back" after the genres have brought him so much entertainment in his life.

THE INTRUDER was produced by Taylor, Roxanne Avent, Mark Burg, Brad Kaplan, Jonathan Schwartz, and Robert F. Smith's company Hidden Empire Film Group.
