Court can’t locate Ezra Miller to serve them papers in regards to alleged abuse against an 18-year-old girl

Ezra Miller, alleged, abuse, court, pop culture

The Ezra Miller saga continues to get more and more bizarre. According to The Los Angeles Times, the parents of 18-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes were granted a protective order against The Flash actor following their claims that Miller began grooming their daughter when she was a minor through means of physical and emotional abuse. The only problem is that law enforcement has been unable to locate Miller and they have yet to be served with the papers.

The parents of Tokata, Chase Iron Eyes and Sara Jumping Eagle, had an interim order of protection for their daughter approved by a judge from the Standing Rock Sioux tribal court in North Dakota last week. Miller has been accused of “psychologically manipulating, physically intimidating and endangering the safety and welfare of” their child. According to the parents, Tokata has begun using the name Gibson at Miller’s request and, like the actor, has made her use they/them pronouns.

The protective order would prevent Miller from “contacting or harassing” Tokata or her parents and would also force the actor to stay 100 yards away from the family home prior to a July 12 hearing about the matter. The court will grant the “relief requested” in the restraining order if Miller doesn’t make an appearance at the hearing. It would appear that Miller has been living like a bit of a nomad lately because their exact whereabouts are currently unknown. According to Chase Iron Eyes, “They move around so much [that] we’re stuck in this legal limbo situation, and we can’t serve them in any place they’re in long enough. They’ve been flighty. They’ve been avoiding service, and now there’s public pressure mounting on them to make a decision, which makes us very concerned about Ezra’s volatile nature.”

Even though Tokata is 18, tribal regulations still consider her parents to be her legal guardians. The parents have made several attempts to serve Miller in Vermont, where they do have a residence, and in California. As you all may know, Miller had also been galavanting around Hawaii where a lot of their legal woes began to go public back in March. Back in May, Sara claims to have made a wellness check regarding her daughter in California and she alleges that Miller assaulted her.

As we previously reported, Miller met Tokata when they were 23 and she was 12. In the court documents, the family alleges that Miller displayed behavior in a “pattern of corrupting a minor” and that they “took an immediate and apparently innocent liking to Tokata Iron Eyes” that shifted to “cult-like and psychologically manipulative, controlling behavior.” The more serious allegations include Miller giving Tokata alcohol, marijuana, and LSD in a bid to keep her under their control.

It should be noted that Tokata/Gibson uploaded a video to Instagram where she explains that “This is my life. There are my decisions. An I’m disappointed in my parents and press in every way.” Tokata also called Eza her “comrade” while calling her parents “manipulative” and her father’s allegations “transphobic.” As someone just viewing some of the things Tokata has posted, it looks to me like this is someone who definitely isn’t thinking for themselves but that’s just my personal observation.

In the midst of all of this is a likely PR nightmare for Warner Bros. because they have Ezra Miller leading The Flash, set to be released next June. So far the studio hasn’t commented on these recent events and they have stated in the past that they are sticking with Miller in the role but I imagine there have to be internal discussions about what to do next. They have become a HUGE liability and I think it would be virtually impossible to promote a tentpole release like this with them at the forefront.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Ezra Miller uses gender neutral “they/them” pronouns.
