Female led Ocean’s movie gets an almost full roster

It was (mostly) fun to watch the ensemble of guys do their thing in Steven Soderbergh's OCEAN'S films, but now it's time for the ladies to have their turn! Previously it was reported that Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett would be leading the pack, and now it looks like Deadline has a few more names to add the roster of what's being called OCEAN'S EIGHT.

Word on the street is that Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina (Nora Lum) are all close to finalizing deals to join OCEAN'S EIGHT. That brings the roster up to 7, so it looks like director Gary Ross (FREE STATE OF JONES, THE HUNGER GAMES) isn't wasting any time! This installment will also be produced by Soderbergh, so I wouldn't be surprised if any of the original OCEAN'S members make a brief appearance here.
