I’ve got some interesting news for you tonight that’s making it’s way around the net. Are you ready for this… I’m bringing you news on… wait for it… an original horror movie!
Cue the DUN DUN DUN. Seriously though, the same guys who produced the HALLOWEEN ‘re-imagining’ have just picked up the spec screenplay for HURT, a horror film by first time sellers Anthony Grieco and Jeff Drongowski. It’ll be directed by first time director Adam Finberg (above).
The team that will be producing are Malek Akkad from Trancas, Justin Hogan from Left Hook, and Marc Lazard from Yellowsand.
HURT revolves around a group of estranged best friends who are reunited after another commits suicide. Gathering ends up becoming a bloodbath because meeting was set up as retribution.
Sounds good to me. Now there’s a lot of flicks out there that concentrate on the “group of friends reuniting after one dies then horror ensues.” But this one seems to have a different spin on it with the retribution angle. I’m interested to see what else HURT brings. We’ll be keeping you updated.
