Finn Jones enters the dojo for training ahead of Iron Fist Season 2 filming

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Despite being the second-most-watched series hailing from Netflix's MCEU, Marvel's IRON FIST star Finn Jones was heavily criticized for his participation in the show's fight choreography. In the past, Jones had claimed that he was givin an inadequate amount of time to train and prepare for those aspects of the role, which is something he plans to remedy before stepping in front of the camera for Season 2.

On Wednesday, the Twitter account NYMAA posted a photo of Jones gearing up for his extended martial arts training:

Back in August, Jones said, “We’re at least four or five months away from shooting, so this time around, I’m being given a lot more preparation leading up to Season 2, which I think is really gonna have a huge improvement on the quality of the fight scenes in Season 2 of Iron Fist.”

Given the four to five month window Jones spoke of, it sounds as if IRON FIST will begin filming just in time for the holidays – leaving the curly-cued actor plenty of time to hone his skills. Perhaps now, viewers who've remained unsatisfied with Jone's performance as Danny Rand will have something to look forward to. It'll take a lot of hard work, though it looks as if Finn is up for the task. Good luck, dude, and be sure to stretch before you dive into each session.

IRON FIST Season 1 is available to stream via Netflix right now
