Do you guys remember that flick we’ve talked about before called DIBBUCK BOX? It’s probably not ringing any bells right? Understandably so considering we’ve barely had any updates on this thing.
Alas today we have news coming in from the guys over at Bloody-Disgusting that DIBBUK BOX is looking to undergo a title change. Think there’s something out there lamer than DIBBUK BOX? Well there is… Apparently Lionsgate are now moving forward with this little diddy called POSSESSION. Yeah… it’s that bad. What a generic title. How could this possibly stand out from other ‘possession’ flicks? Especially when most of them are called POSSESSION… Let’s hope this doesn’t stick.
The film will follow Clyde Breneck and his 10-year-old daughter, Em, who purchases an antique box at a yard sale. With the box, Em accidentally releases an ancient spirit that has one goal: to devour her. Clyde must team work with his ex-wife to put an end to the curse.
Coming from producer Sam Raimi and based on true events, POSSESSION stars Kyra Sedgwick, Jeffery Dean Morgan, Natasha Calis and Madison Davenport and is directed by Ole Bornedal. Previously set to open this October, POSSESSION is now set to hit theaters everywhere on January 6, 2012 so be sure to keep it here for more news on POSSESSION as we get closer to that date.
