Fresh off the news that the original GHOSTBUSTERS is heading back to theaters comes word from Empire that another classic genre flick is set to be re-released: Steven Spielberg’s dino adventure JURASSIC PARK!
Considering JURASSIC PARK is one of my all-time favorite flicks you can bet your ass this news has this schmuck tickled pink! I’m sure I’m not the only one either. Come on – JURASSIC PARK back in theaters?! You can’t get much better than that. And I’m sure a lot of you would agree with me that we’d much rather see these classics re-released on the big screen rather than see sh*tty sequels or remakes in the works. Right? Right!
Now that you’re all hyped up allow me to burst your bubble – JURASSIC PARK is only being re-released in the UK. Oh yeah… Now you understand my disappointment as well. What a major bummer. Alas this is great news for all you blokes across the pond so you peeps can proceed with your excitement.
The flick, in a sparkling new digital print, goes down on September 23rd with the Blu-Ray release of the trilogy to follow on October 24th. You can scope out a trailer for the re-release below courtesy of Empire. Perhaps a US re-release won’t be to far behind? We can hope right?
